Mo & Mo en Route – AI?

Is Intelligence Artificial?

Artificial Intelligence is in the news with little agreement on what intelligence actually is. Can intelligence be artificial?

Google’s AlphaGo computer vs. Lee Se-dol playing Go… Score AlphaGo 4 to Se-dol1. Chalk one up for Artificial Intelligence. > But Go is an awfully hard game. It makes my head hurt. I noticed… With chess you have about 20 options per move and with Go you have about 200 options, with millions of outcomes. > Artificial Intelligence is not so intelligent. I play games for fun, if AlphaGo was really intelligent it would choose a different game, something less stressful. > …Not to mention “Artificial Intelligence” is an oxymoron? Have any 2’s? …Go Fish.

Mo & Mo en Route – Watching

Who’s Watching Who?

With fears and skepticism regarding government surveillance at a high, the amount of personal info we willingly hand over or broadcast is truly frightening.

Who’s Watching Who The Government is watching? The fear goes way back. > Our locations are tracked. We’re being followed. Who we contact. What we look at. What we purchase. > And Apple, Google, Facebook, Twitter, don’t trust the government either. They want our information for themselves, thank you very much. But now we have become the spies and we gladly give up our personal info with every share or click of “I agree”… To quote a famous possum we have met the enemy and he is us. I should tweet this.

Mo & Mo en Route – VvR

Virtual Reality

A lot of hype, time and money is being spent on VR… maybe we can channel the same to working on real reality.

Virtual Reality is all the rage at CES and Mobile World Congress. Whoa, Déjà vu? > “Virtual” Reality, “Not Actually” Reality. I guess folks have given up on Reality, so they are making up their own version. > There is a lot of Virtual Reality on the campaign trail these days. Well it’s always been a staple in marketing. Except there’s that nauseous feeling you can get with Virtual Reality. I get that with other Virtual Reality too.

Mo & Mo en Route – Greedy

Greedy

Selling greed as a path to greatness does not add up. OK, a lot doesn’t add up in this race. Welcome to Campaign 2016.

“I’m very greedy. I’m a greedy person”… “I want to be greedy for our country”… ??? > I don’t get it their motto is “Make America Great Again!” How does being greedy make the America great? > Wall Street meltdowns…greed. Environmental disasters…greed. Corporate scandals…greed. Inequality…greed. I score those as our weaknesses. Not so great. > I don’t want anybody to be “Greedy” for us. I can’t vote for “Greedy”. You can’t vote at all. I know, so much for that universal suffrage. >

Mo & Mo en Route – Sponsored

Fake News

I understand the need for ads, but “Sponsored News”? Deception to get folks to read? The news doesn’t need less integrity.

Frankly I get most my news from on line now. Me too. But what’s with the ads pretending to be news in the news… You mean, “Sponsored News”, “Sponsor Content”, “Branded Content”, “Native Advertising”? You know, articles start with…. “Jaw dropping photos”…of whoever “Most awkward moments”… at the event “Top ten”… whatever “Ten best”…something “Better read this”… or else “Worst customer service”… you’ve seen “Most awesome”… stuff Ads, revenue I get it. But the deception??? I feel so betrayed. A pitiful ploy to place pretend press to pollute our purview.

Mo & Mo en Route – Class

Airline Inequality

The airlines do all they can to forward the discussion of Economic Inequality.

“Economic inequality”… Big issue in the debates. Hey, the airlines are all about exposing Economic Inequality. First, they make you watch First Class board first… Then you schlep by comfy seats and cool drinks with occupants who avoid giving you a glance… Only to be shoehorned into a seat in the back of the plane… It’s inequality in-your-face.

Mo & Mo en Route – Polling

Polling & Prognosticators

Spend more time telling what is happening and less guessing what will happen.

Polling Groundhog Day, and what’s with this Punxsutawney Phil? The press is all over this guy. He predict the future? …Right. Just how accurate is he? > What does he have that you don’t? Yeah! …and does Punxsutawney really represent the whole nation? …And Phil? > This whole Groundhog Day thing stinks. Come on it’s not just Groundhog Day. Huh? > The press reports polls that use regional demographics and questions focused on person and hype. Then draw squishy conclusions, being amazed when numbers and reality don’t jibe. So it’s not personal? No.

Mo & Mo en Route – Anger

Anger Issues

Top Political Issue this cycle …anger. Not a great start if you are looking for a good finish.

This whole angry Trump and angry Sanders thing. It’s being said they are appealing to angry white people. OK, sometimes I get angry, but I don’t like to stay there. Me? I’m more furry than fury. I mean you can’t really build anything real on anger… A movement maybe, but it’s no more than a house of cards. Which eventually is consumed by the flames of anger. Nice mix metaphor there.

Mo & Mo en Route – Subscribe

Subscribe

Tech can be amazing, so can’t we find another way to subscribe.

I love a good magazine. A lot is being written about our ecosystem. > But what is with all these subscription cards?! I already subscribe. Do they expect me to hand them out on the corner? > They have managed to be both wasteful and annoying. That’s why I read them on my tablet. > The digital experience is great and no… How do they do that? 3D printing in tablets. Tech is amazing.

Mo & Mo en Route – Cost

The Cost

The Lottery win, lose or draw, in the end it’s still an overwhelming loss.

Wow, look at the line. …The Powerball. > They do say you can’t win if you don’t play. But you’re guaranteed not lose if you don’t. > Well, there were winners, three tickets. …and there were losers, 1.5 billion. So it it’s just a happy tax. > A tax people happily play, I mean pay. Maybe change the Income Tax into a Lottery and make it happy? Yes! It’s all in the ...presentation.
