Binary Choice

The coming campaign seems to want to frame everything as a  binary choice, is that really the only choice?

Do I get an apple or an orange, I can’t decide. Or a potato or onion… You know you can get them all, it’s not either or, it’s not binary. Really? It doesn’t sound like it in the news… it’s investigate or legislate, you support labor or business, a country should manufacture or do finance, you’re for jobs or environment… None of that’s binary, I mean if you prepare just one food, you get tired of it, and it’s frankly not healthy. Being binary is not too healthy for government or economies either… …and it tastes lousy.
