Nothing New

Exploiting fear for personal and political gain, nothing new about that. Maybe don’t fear?

There’s a movement which was formed to oppose the influx of immigrants with the promise to "purify" American politics by limiting or ending their influence. So what’s new? Nothing actually… It was “the American Party” from the 1850’s. The immigrants were Irish and German. Yikes, same old fears just different folks. The more things change, the more they stay the same. They were also known as the “Know Nothing” Party. As you say, the more things change
