The resurrecting of old tropes, and employing excuses and what-aboutism wants to enshrine this as a new standard of discourse.

Congress was debating again last week, the traipsing out of old tired tropes about the un-Americanness of one religious or ethnic group or another. Congress punted, condemning hate in general. Which seems obvious, though not necessarily so these days. It’s all so mucky in a time when Twitterization and Trumpism have become our new norm and standard of measure. That’s just wrong… Ctrl-Z… Ctrl-Z… Ctrl-Z… Ctrl-Z… Sadly, that’s not how it works.
