Social Media algorithms supercharge conflict. Why might that be?

How are the Military Industrial Complex and Social Media Corporations alike?
Uh… I don’t know, they’re big, they both make a lot of noise, both have sketchy ethics?
They both need conflict for profits. So, anything that garners hate, fear, angst, stuff like that?
OK, it’s conflict generation instead of conflict resolution. Yep, they’re all about “Clash for Cash”.
