Facebook is big on sharing, but they are doing a lot of over sharing. Especially in the case of Cambridge Analytica with some particularly bad outcomes.

Sharing use to be about ideas, enjoyment, experiences… Hear about Cambridge Analytica? C.A. used Facebook to get folks to “share” info, giving C.A. access to profiles of 50M of their unaware friends… C.A. took the “shared” info for their clients (Steve Bannon and BREXIT) to create psych profiles, and from that fabricate posts, blogs, sites, etc. for the 50M to share again… all this to manipulate behavior to promote the client’s agenda. So instead of us getting a shared experience, we get a shredded experience. Do I Facebook share, Facebook shred or shred Facebook? Hmmm… Bad case of oversharing.
