Last year there were 270 filibusters invoked, this year 147 and counting…

There’s the push against filibuster again… Some folks just don’t want to change. Mitch insists the filibuster is Senate Tradition. Hmm… For over 200 years the Senate used the filibuster on average once a year. Since Mitch has been a Leader in the Senate it’s been used on average 60 times a year. A sketchy tradition at that.

    Interesting. I didn’t realize how rarely the filibuster had been used Senator MM!
