They lose the popular vote, then for four years scream, “WE HAVE A MANDATE!” Now they get an actual mandate, and don’t want anything to do with it.

Hold on there skippy… I should have the freedom to cross the street when I want! You can, just gotta wait. It’s not fair… Look, you don’t have the freedom to not wear seatbelts, or to run a red light, or to speed where you want. Harrumph… It’s about safety…best to avoid that whole roadkill thing Enough, how can I survive all these mandates. How can I survive?! Exactly!... to survive that is. …and I'll survive …I will survive …I will survive
