The Socialism Thing

There’s a renewed debate about Socialism and Capitalism, is it about which one? Do we really have Capitalism? Is it either or?

Socialism is the buzz in the campaign… Who’s for, Who’s against and Who knows? But we already have a lot of it… Defense is big time Socialism, Government run and paid for. There’s Government tax subsidies for whole industries like oil, tech, finance and agriculture… Hedge Fund managers and Investment income get subsidies. Capitalist love all those programs. So, what gives? Folks like the socialism if the Government is giving to them, but don’t like it if it’s giving to someone who’s not them.
